A Journey Through Our Process:

  • CNC Expertise: We start at the foundation—the outer housing. Our CNC technology harnesses precision to craft each housing to precise specifications.
  • Bobbins Born to Perform: Through injection molding, we create bobbins that marry function with durability and are built to endure.
  • Winding Excellence: Our skilled technicians that winding is consistent, precise, and engineered for optimal performance.
  • Meticulous Assembly: Each component is brought together meticulously, adhering to the highest standards.
  • Testing Beyond Limits: Rigorous testing subjects each coil to demanding trials, ensuring they meet the exacting standards we’ve set.
  • Sealing Perfection: We employ cutting-edge transfer molding techniques that involve filling air spaces or voids around the bobbin with plastic, enabling optimal heat transfer.

Certifications that Define Our Expertise

Our commitment to quality and precision goes beyond just words—it’s backed by a range of prestigious certifications that set us apart as a leader in the industry. Our dedication to excellence is certified by internationally recognized standards, reinforcing our expertise in the manufacturing of coils and components for the most demanding applications, including space exploration.

  • IPC J-STD-001S (Hand Soldering) with Space Addendum: Our proficiency in hand soldering is elevated by the rigorous standards set by IPC J-STD-001S. With the additional Space Addendum, we ensure that our soldering meets the exacting requirements of the aerospace industry, guaranteeing reliability even in the harshest space environments.
  • IPC-A610 (Electronic Assemblies): The IPC-A610 certification validates our mastery in producing electronic assemblies that meet the highest industry standards. From components to final products, we’re dedicated to ensuring that our work adheres to the strictest quality guidelines.
  • IPC/WHMA-A-620S (Wire Crimping): Our expertise in wire crimping is acknowledged through the IPC/WHMA-A-620S certification.
  • Certified Trainer: Beyond our manufacturing prowess, we’re also certified trainers in IPC-J-STD-001, IPC-A-610, and IPC/WHMA-620. This means we’re not just skilled craftsmen; we’re also dedicated to imparting our knowledge and expertise to the next generation, ensuring that the industry’s standards continue to rise.

Transfer Molding: Innovative Heat Management

We recognize that the efficient management of heat is paramount for solenoid coils’ optimal performance and longevity. To address this critical aspect, we utilize cutting-edge transfer molding techniques. By filling the air spaces or voids within the coil housing around the bobbin with plastic, we enable superior heat transfer from the coil. This process is pivotal in preventing overheating and burnout, which can occur if the inner space remains filled with air. Furthermore, our innovative approach yields additional advantages, particularly in demanding environments like space launches. The plastic infusion not only dissipates heat effectively but also imparts stability to the coil, mitigating the risks of vibration-related damage during rigorous operations.

Aerospace and Commercial Space

Elevating Reliability and Performance

Our solenoids stand as exceptional solutions for extreme conditions and are certified for hazardous locations, making them the unequivocal choice for the aerospace industry. We specialize in designing and manufacturing a wide array of solenoid types, from on/off and position control to proportional and more. As leaders in the field, we understand the unique demands of aerospace and commercial space applications. From custom designs to rigorous testing, our solenoids are meticulously crafted to deliver unmatched reliability, performance, and precision.

Harnessing Electromagnetism:

The Power of Solenoids

A solenoid is essentially a coil of wire wound in a helical (spiral) shape, often around a cylindrical core, typically made of ferromagnetic material like iron. When an electric current flows through the wire winding of the solenoid, it creates a magnetic field.

Here’s how they work:

  1. Electric Current Flow: When you apply an electric current to the wire coil of the solenoid, electrons begin to move through the wire generating a magnetic field around the coil.
  2. Magnetic Field: The magnetic field can either attract or repel objects, depending on their magnetic properties and orientation.
  3. Plunger or Armature: Inside the solenoid coil, there is often a movable component called a plunger or armature. When the magnetic field is generated it exerts a force on the plunger, either pulling it into the coil (if it’s attracted) or pushing it out (if it’s repelled).
  4. Mechanical Movement: The movement of the plunger can be used to perform various mechanical actions. For example, in a door lock or a valve, the movement of the plunger can engage or disengage a mechanism.
  5. Control: By controlling the amount of current flowing through the coil, you can control the strength of the magnetic field.
