Dr. Youping Gao is Chief Technology Officer at ADDMAN and founder of Castheon, an additive manufacturing company acquired by ADDMAN in 2022. He leads the development and commercialization of advanced materials and additive manufacturing technologies for aerospace, defense, energy, and other demanding industries.
A recognized leader in metallurgy, welding science, and additive manufacturing, Dr. Gao has spent more than three decades advancing high-performance materials and manufacturing processes. His work has contributed to the development and application of novel alloys, additive manufacturing technologies, and high-temperature materials for extreme-environment applications.
Dr. Gao is a Fellow of ASM International, the American Welding Society (AWS), and the National Academy of Inventors (NAI). He holds numerous patents and has authored extensively on materials science, welding, and additive manufacturing. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with industry, government, and academic partners to advance the adoption of innovative manufacturing technologies and next-generation materials solutions.
